Ensure that an extended height guardrail is fitted if using a platform ladder, or a safety prop is fitted if guardrails are not installed. Falling object control measures must be in place, and the work must be recorded in a site-specific safe work method statement (SWMS). For mobile scaffolds, verify that the scaffold is suitable for the task, guardrails are installed, and the platform height meets safety requirements. Personnel must be trained in mobile scaffold erection, and physical barriers or additional control measures should be in place if working near a live edge.
