Why this release matters

Since launching the Drawings module, builders have told us they love having one place to view the latest revision. No more back and forth, no more wondering if the file is up to date. But as projects grow, so do the demands on how drawings are reviewed, compared and shared across teams.

This update builds on the strong foundation already in place, giving teams more control, more visibility and a smoother experience from upload to site access.

Whether you're an admin reviewing multiple plans or a worker checking details on the go, these improvements are designed to make the process faster, clearer and more site-friendly.

What’s new in BuildPass Drawings

Swipe navigation on mobile

Workers can now swipe through drawings on the BuildPass app without needing to exit and reload each file. Especially useful for teams reviewing multiple levels or folders on site.

Search, sort and filter

Whether you're an admin, worker or using a public link, you can now search by keyword, filter, and sort drawings to find what you need faster.

Titles and thumbnails

Quickly preview what’s inside each file without opening them one by one. Thumbnails and improved titles make large drawing sets easier to scan at a glance.

Bulk confirm

Upload a full set of plans? You can now confirm them all in one click instead of reviewing each file individually.

Side-by-side sync

Need to compare two revisions? Our new side-by-side viewer syncs your scroll and zoom so you can instantly spot what’s changed.

Individual upload control

You can now cancel or pause an individual file without interrupting your whole upload session.

Upgraded PDF viewer

Drawings are easier to read with a clearer zoom, larger preview window and a better fit-to-screen experience, designed with site use in mind.

What’s coming next

We’re continuing to improve the Drawings experience based on direct feedback from builders. Here’s a preview of what’s on the way.

Read receipts

Workers will automatically see the latest revision like an unread message, while admins will be able to track who has viewed what without needing to follow up manually.

Smarter visibility for drawing changes

Builders told us it's more important to clearly communicate updates than to hide old versions. We're designing a better way to help workers understand what’s changed, including built-in change summaries that highlight key updates in a drawing set, so you don’t have to rely on emails or chat threads.

Offline access

On-site coverage can be unreliable. We're working toward giving teams the ability to view drawings offline, starting with download options for key files.

External collaborator uploads

Collaborating with architects and consultants? They’ll be able to upload drawings for your team to review in BuildPass.
