Name who fixes it
Say who should fix it and Voice defects adds them, matched to the companies and people on your project. It never adds anyone you didn’t name, and you check it all before saving.
Mark up the photo
Draw arrows, shapes and text on the site photo. The marked-up copy is saved beside the original, so nothing is lost.
Pin it to the drawing
Link a drawing markup to the defect, then open the drawing straight from the defect.
Update a batch at once
Select a batch of defects to assign, change the status or due date, download a PDF or archive them together.
See who has read it
Every assignee shows as sent, delivered or read. Reply in the defect’s own thread and mention people to bring them in.
Report on the whole list
Check totals by status for any date range in the defect report. Export selected defects to PDF with a full-size photo appendix, or the whole list to CSV.

Yes. Once you send a defect, the company opens it through a link with no BuildPass login, and workers see theirs in the worker app. They can mark it ready for review, more work required or blocked, with a message and photos. Only an admin can close it.
No, and that is on purpose. A new defect shows as pending until you send it, so you can check the list before anyone hears about it. A banner shows how many defects are not yet sent.
Yes. Download selected defects as a PDF, with a full-size image appendix when there are a lot of photos, or export the list to CSV. Defects are not shown in the client portal, so the PDF is how you share them.
Yes. Tap Voice in the new defect form, say what you see, and AI fills in the title, description, type, priority, status, due date and location, plus anyone you name. It never picks an assignee for you, and nothing saves until you check it. You can still type a defect out. It works in the admin form on a laptop, tablet or phone browser, not the worker app, once your account owner switches on AI tools in Settings.
