Do I have to use voice?
No. You can still log a defect by typing it out. Voice is just a faster option when you're on site.
Do I need to type anything when I use voice?
Barely. You speak the fault and BuildPass drafts the defect for you. You review the draft and save, editing anything you want to change first.
What does it fill in?
From your voice note it drafts the title and description, sets the type, priority, due date and location, and suggests who to assign it to.
Can it assign the defect to a subcontractor?
It suggests a person or company from those already on your project. Nothing is assigned until you confirm and save.
Does it work on site, on mobile?
Yes. It's built into the defect screen on the phone or tablet your team already carries.
What about a photo of the defect?
You can attach a photo to the defect as well. The voice tool drafts the defect from what you say; tagging photos by content is a separate part of the toolkit.
