Q2 2025 feature release: built for the way you really work

In Q2, we shipped our biggest updates yet, and every one of them was built around the way real crews actually use BuildPass.

From pre-task planning to handover, construction teams juggle more moving parts than ever before. Whether you're leading field crews, managing schedules, or capturing notes in the middle of a job, the best software should simplify work, not add complexity.

That’s the goal behind our Q2 updates. We’ve made big updates to Scheduling, Workflows, Drawings, and our brand new Supasite app.

These changes come straight from feedback from the field: Less admin. More clarity. Better visibility. Tools that actually save time.

Here’s a full look at what’s ready to use now, and where we’re heading next.

Supercharged scheduling

This release takes Scheduling to a whole new level. It’s faster, easier to use, and gives you more control without overcomplicating the process.

The biggest change? Task assignment is now fully flexible. You’re no longer limited to subcontractors. Superintendents, crew members, and internal staff can all be assigned tasks directly, so your schedule reflects what’s really happening on site.

Automatic conflict detection flags double bookings before they happen. You’ll see when two tasks overlap so you can resolve them before they cause delays.

Even in a digital world, sometimes PDF schedules are still necessary. Our PDF export helps you share clean, client-ready schedules with zero formatting stress.

We're already working on the next wave of updates, including reusable templates, more complex dependencies, and custom working calendars for more accurate planning.

BuildPass workflows

Field teams are under pressure to stay compliant, communicate clearly, and avoid delays, but most workflow tools are too rigid, too slow, or too technical.

That’s why we rebuilt Workflows from the ground up.

Workflows now gives you complete flexibility to automate your site processes with ease. From safety form submissions to prequalification reminders, you can build exactly what your team needs using our drag-and-drop editor.

Every step can be tailored with rules, logic branches, and triggers. You can even send SMS reminders to ensure nothing gets missed by crew members who don’t check email regularly.

Want to automate follow-ups? You can set it once and let BuildPass handle the timing, visibility, and reminders.

Here’s what’s already in motion:

  • More triggers for things like registers, sign-ins, document expirations, orientations, and overdue forms
  • Third-party integrations with tools like Procore, Xero, QuickBooks, and Premier
  • AI-powered workflow assistant to help you build faster and smarter
  • A growing library of ready-to-use templates for common site processes
  • Time-based triggers and wait steps for delayed handovers or scheduled actions
  • Auto-generated PDFs from submitted forms
  • AI blocks that summarize toolbox talks and surface key actions

This release lays the foundation. What’s coming next will make your site processes smarter, more reliable, and easier to manage than ever.

Supasite: built for the chaos of real jobsites

Supasite is our boldest launch yet — a mobile-first app designed for fast, flexible field documentation.

Instead of jumping between Apple Notes, text messages, and your camera roll, Supasite gives you a single place to capture, organize, and share everything you see on site.

You can snap a photo, record a voice memo, or take a quick video. Supasite automatically logs the time, location, and context. If something needs action, turn it into a structured task with a tap. Need to report it? Generate a polished PDF like a daily log or punch list instantly.

No service? No problem. Supasite works offline and syncs when you're back online. Native sharing means you can send what you captured straight to your team without workarounds.

From August 11, Supasite is available in public beta via TestFlight (iOS) and the Play Store (Android). It’s already delivering value, and we’re refining it based on direct feedback from users.

The early signs are clear:

  • Crews want to jump in fast with no training
  • Speed and simplicity matter more than extra features
  • Supasite feels familiar, and that’s the point

We’re not reinventing the wheel, just building a better one for jobsite realities.

Drawings: better visibility without the noise

The latest update to Drawings is all about making changes easier to see without overwhelming your team.

You can now view drawing titles, thumbnails, search, sort, and swipe through drawings in the field app. It’s a faster way to find exactly what you need without scrolling through irrelevant sets.

Behind the scenes, we’re already working on read receipts and smart change summaries. The goal is to highlight key updates across drawing sets without relying on long email threads or manual tracking. Builders told us it’s most important to communicate changes clearly to crews, so that’s where we’re heading next.

What’s next

We’re not slowing down.

While these Q2 releases are already delivering value, there’s even more on the roadmap for the second half of the year.

You’ll see major progress in:

  • AI across the board, from smarter forms to automated photo tagging and workflow suggestions
  • Integrations with more platforms your team already uses
  • Customizable templates for common tasks like drawings, schedules, orientations, toolbox talks, and permit approvals
  • Cleaner UX across desktop and mobile, with better guidance and faster load times

And of course, we’re continuing to build based on your feedback. What you ask for today becomes part of what we ship tomorrow.

You can share your thoughts directly in the app by clicking on "Feedback" in the top right to tell us what’s working, what’s not, or what you'd love to see next in BuildPass.
